1. MeetingsThe PHHS holds a business meeting every three years during the Triennial Meeting for General Society of Mayflower Descendants. The agenda includes voting for PHHS officers and a report from each officer and committee chairperson. In tandem with this meeting, speakers may be invited to address PHHS members on topics of common historical or genealogical interest. 2. Research ProjectsPHHS members may find it interesting to join one of the various teams associated with the Society’s research projects. Each of these projects is aimed at increasing knowledge about and raising the profile of the Hopkins' family heritage. Those envisioned to date are briefly described below, followed by the contact person for the relevant task force.
e. Juniors The pupose of this project is to encourage younger descendants of the Pilgrim Hopkins family to participate in the PHHS and to become members. NewsletterThe aim of the PHHS newsletter, Atlantic Crossings, is to bring news to members of the Society’s activities, past and planned. It also serves as a means of sharing lineage information, questions and controversies, the results of research projects, and stories that shed light on the lives and times of Hopkins and his descendants. A core team has launched the newsletter’s inaugural issue, but help is still needed on the production, editorial and dissemination sides.
